About JGW+:

Jobs Growth Wales (JGW+) is part of the ACT family, where they provide training and development for young people aged 16-19 years old to gain skills, qualifications and experience they need to gain confidence to enter training or employment.

Our dedicated team are passionate about supporting learners to reach their full potential, ensuring everyone is guided and empowered every step of the way.

What you’ll do:  

You will develop and deliver skills training and activities for learners on JGW+ programmes that are enriching and focused on well-being as well as essential skills. The primary purpose of the role is to engage with learners who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET) through set modules comprising of mini projects, volunteer, enterprise and community schemes. You will have the ability to differentiate and challenge all learners’ ability levels. Willingness to travel between centres to support learners as required. 

As a Skills Tutor you will help learners to think about their futures and provide some focus on accessible career paths, whilst creating progression opportunities for both further work-based learning and employment. ACT is committed to promoting the Welsh language for both staff and learners, and whilst it is not considered essential criteria, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role. 

This role is varied, and no two days are the same and neither are our learners, we are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in a young person’s life and help them reach their goals! If this sounds like you, we would like to hear from you!

  5. Excellent IT skills with programmes such as Microsoft Office, Word and Excel

  7. Team player with ability to work on own initiative
  8. Well organised
  9. Creative and passionate for training/learning
  10. Proven track record of meeting targets
