About the role
ACT is recruiting two Site Safety & Support Officers to support the safety and day to day operation of our educational sites in Cardiff.
One role will be based at Ocean Park House, Cardiff, which accommodates our Independent School for learners aged 11–16, our JGW+ provision for learners aged 16–19, adult learners and visitors, as well as an independently operated café.

Both roles are important in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for learners, staff and visitors.
This role requires someone who can balance effective site safety with a positive, learner focused approach. You will be confident in setting boundaries, communicating expectations and managing challenging situations while maintaining professional relationships with learners, colleagues and visitors.

Conflict management: Use calm communication and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging interactions, following ACT's procedures and seeking support when needed.
Safeguarding: Recognise and report safeguarding concerns promptly, helping to protect learners, colleagues and visitors.
Incident reporting: Maintain accurate records of incidents, security concerns and visitor issues, ensuring relevant information is shared with the appropriate colleagues.
